JJ Powell Free Heating Oil Giveaway Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. SWEEPSTAKES DESCRIPTION

The JJ Powell Free Heating Oil Giveaway Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) consists of one individual random draw sweepstakes for up to 600 gallons of heating oil. By participating, you unconditionally accept and agree to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of JJ Powell, Inc. (“Sponsor”), which shall be final and binding in all respects.

2. ELIGIBILITY

Open only to legal homeowners with a primary residence located within a 25-mile radius of Philipsburg, PA; Centre Hall, PA; Clearfield, PA; Bellefonte, PA; Lewistown, PA; Lewisburg, PA; and Sunbury, PA, JJ Powell offices who are at least eighteen (18) years or older at the time of entry, and are a primary user of heating oil. Employees of Sponsor and of its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising/promotion agencies, and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited by law. Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

3. TO ENTER

From 12:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on Friday, August 1, 2025, through 11:59 PM ET on Friday, October 31, 2025 (the “Entry Period”), Sponsor will conduct a Giveaway encouraging participants to enter for a chance to win a prize.

Limit one (1) entry per person/household, regardless of method of entry. Entries do not carry over to future giveaways.

Obtain entries as follows:

1. One (1) entry will be provided for enrolling in the ea$ypay heating oil program from JJ Powell either by phone, online, or in person.
2. Alternatively, one (1) entry may be received by visiting https://jjpowell.com/win600/ and supplying full name, address, phone number, email address, and heating oil delivery information.

Odds/Parity: A purchase or enrollment will not increase your chances of winning. Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE) entries have the same odds as any other entry.

4. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS (OPTIONAL)

You may opt in to receive marketing emails, texts, or calls from Sponsor. Consent is not a condition of entry or purchase. For texts/calls, you agree to receive autodialed or prerecorded marketing messages; message/data rates may apply; frequency varies; reply STOP to opt out. You may unsubscribe from email communications at any time.

5. ENTRY GUIDELINES

Entry will not be eligible if a valid email address is not provided. Multiple entrants may not share the same email address. Any attempt to obtain entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, or automated systems will void those entries and may result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute, the authorized account holder of the email address will be deemed the entrant. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.

6. PRIZE/ODDS/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (ARV)

One (1) winner will receive up to 600 gallons of heating oil delivered to the winner’s eligible residence (via multiple deliveries) during August 1, 2025 – July 31, 2026. Unused gallons expire after May 31, 2026.

ARV: $1,800 (based on $3.00/gal; actual value varies with market prices). Prizes are non-transferable, and no substitution will be made except at the Sponsor’s discretion.

Tax Reporting: The fair market value of heating oil delivered under this prize may be subject to IRS reporting requirements. If, in any calendar year, the total value of oil delivered to the winner equals or exceeds $600, the Sponsor will request a completed IRS Form W-9 from the winner and will issue an IRS Form 1099-MISC for that year. If the value delivered in a calendar year is less than $600, no IRS reporting will be required for that year. The winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes associated with acceptance and use of the prize.

Delivery: Deliveries will be made consistent with the Sponsor’s standard delivery routes/scheduling. Delivery requires a safe, accessible, code-compliant tank; Sponsor may refuse delivery if an unsafe condition exists. If delivery is refused for safety or access reasons and not remedied, the prize may be forfeited.

Odds: Depend on the number of eligible entries received. Limit one (1) entry per household.

7. DRAWING/NOTIFICATION

Random drawing will be conducted on November 10, 2025, by 5:00 PM ET from all eligible entries received. The potential winner will be contacted by phone and/or email and announced on JJ Powell’s Facebook page by November 17, 2025.

Potential winner must respond within 72 hours and complete required documentation within 7 days of notification, or an alternate winner may be selected. Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, announce a potential winner’s name on social media, provided that no prize shall be awarded until eligibility verification and any required documents are completed.

8. GENERAL

All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising/promotion agencies, and each of their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any liability for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from participation or prize use.

Acceptance of a prize constitutes the winner’s consent for Sponsor to use their name, city/state, likeness, and prize information for promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited.

Disputes: Governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; exclusive venue in the state or federal courts in Centre County, PA.

9. INTERNET

Sponsor is not responsible for technical failures or unauthorized intervention. If the Sweepstakes cannot run as planned, Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine its legitimate operation may be a violation of the law and subject to legal action.

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram. Entrants release those platforms from any responsibility.

12. WINNERS’ LIST

For the list of winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: JJ Powell Marketing Dept, PO Box 30, Philipsburg, PA 16866. Requests must be received by December 31, 2025.
